Puppy training is most effective when started at an early age, typically between 8 and 16 weeks. During this critical developmental period, puppies are more receptive to learning and can establish positive behaviours. However, it’s never too late to begin training, and older dogs can also benefit significantly from obedience training and socialization. Regardless of your dog’s age, the key is to start as soon as possible to lay the foundation for good behaviour and a strong bond between you and your canine companion.
At a puppy training class, you can expect a structured environment focused on promoting positive behaviours, socialization, and basic obedience skills for your young canine companion. Typically led by experienced trainers, these classes provide a supportive setting where puppies can interact with each other and learn essential commands. Common activities may include leash training, basic commands (sit, stay, come), and addressing common behavioural issues like mouthing or jumping. Expect a mix of supervised playtime for socialization and instructional periods for learning commands. Additionally, you’ll likely receive guidance on puppy care, handling, and establishing a strong bond with your furry friend. Puppy training classes aim to create a positive and enjoyable experience for both you and your pup while laying the foundation for a well-behaved and socialized adult dog.
Our puppy training sessions are for one hour.
